We are Chiara and Simone, a dynamic Sicilian duo deeply passionate about our island’s culinary traditions.
Our adventure began years ago when we started bringing Sicilian flavors to school canteens, private parties, and corporate gatherings through our dedicated catering service.
Driven by the desire to share even more of our rich heritage, we’ve fulfilled our long-held dream: opening Zenzero, our first gourmet pizzeria in Amsterdam entirely devoted to ancient Sicilian grains.
At Zenzero, each pizza embodies our journey, our love for tradition, and our commitment to exceptional quality.

I had the opportunity to taste the pizzas from Zenzero Pizzeria, prepared and baked by Valerio during their very first preview tasting and… what a fabulous surprise! Each one better than the last, surprising and never ordinary in the choice and combination of ingredients, but above all unique and authentic. You can even choose the type of dough (classic, whole wheat, or timilia).
The place itself, with its Sicilian details, is simply fabulous it really feels like being in Sicily!
And… I already can’t wait to come back starting tomorrow, when they finally open!
